ABDUL QADIR BALOCH OF PML-N said that the attack on Hamid Mir is condemned by every sect of the society. He said that unfortunately one TV channel started a propaganda campaign against ISI after the attack on Hamid Mir. He said that the government formed a commission to investigate the matter at once. He said that after the attack on Hamid Mir, Mian Nawaz Sharif did not give any statement because he is the PM of the whole country and not of one individual.
He said that to restore peace in a province is a provincial matter and federal government has nothing to do with it. He said that the operation in Karachi has been started on the demand of MQM itself.
BABAR GHORI OF MQM said that when he heard about assassination attempt on Hamid Mir he felt like he has been targeted. He said that after the attack on Hamid Mir the media has spoiled the case. He said that the news of attack on Hamid Mir was run with the picture of DGISI on Geo TV like he is the one pulled the trigger. He said that the Indian media is exploiting the accusation on ISI of attack on Hamid Mir. He said that Ch Nisar statement came so late in response to the propaganda campaign against ISI. He said that the defense ministry should have come forward right after the propaganda campaign was launched against ISI.
He said that for last two or three months the matters of joining Sindh government by MQM were being under consideration. He said that the federal government should cooperate with Sindh government in order to restore peace in Karachi. He said that MQM and PPPP are the secular parties and will work hard to encounter terrorism in the province.
SAEED GHANI OF PPPP said that the accusation Hamid Mir family is making they themselves have to come forward to register the FIR in that context. He said that in his opinion PM statement should have been released against the propaganda campaign after the attack on Hamid Mir.
He said that there is a huge divide in between the politics of rural and urban areas joining of Sindh government by MQM will bridge that gap.
