He said that the government and the military are on same page and are issues are resolved with consultation. He said that the military has the realization that the economic situation of the country was precarious but is now backing on the track. He said that he does not believe that the military will now hinder the economic progress of the country. He said that even today the PM met with the army chief and DGISI in the routine meeting. He said that the government and the military openly discuss the country and regional situation when they meet and it should not be given any wrong angle. He said that some times media provide information to the people in impropriate manners.
He said that PM is going to Britain on a pre arranged visit and it has nothing to do with the tension with the military.
He said that if the dialogues with Taliban fail the cabinet will take the decision whether to take action against them.
He said that soon legislation will be completed in the parliament regarding the foreign funding to the religious outfits and the NGO’s.
He said that he can predict that more relaxation will be given to the people on the oil prices in the near future.
He said that the government has taken short and long term steps for the revival of the economy.
He said that a propaganda campaign was run that Pakistan will be declared defaulter in 2014 but with the grace of Allah there is no such possibility exists at the moment of failure.
He said that he hopes that the conversion rate of the dollar against rupee will stay between 98 and 99.
He said that the foreign reserves of Pakistan will touch the 15 billion dollars mark in the month of September this year. He said that the government is determined to take the figure of foreign reserves to 20 billion dollars in three years period of time.
He said that the matters of bilateral trade with India have been moved forward a lot and more negotiations will be done after the elections in India.
He said that the government is working against the concealment of tax and bring more people into tax bracket.
