MOTHER OF AMJAD SABRI said that she was returning home from the doctor when Amjad Sabri was leaving the house to go to the TV station. She said that ten minutes after he left someone came and told that Amjad is shot. She said that if Amjad would have hit in the hand or foot she was going to get him treated but he was killed. She said that Amjad had no problem he was very jolly person. She said that he son had no enmity with anybody people were so respectful to him. She said that she has only one desire now to see the person who killed her son. She said that the children of Amjad Sabri are little and they are asking when their father will come back home. She said that she prays that may Allah protect all the children of our country. She said that the government should restore peace in the country.
MOHAMMAD ZUBAIR OF PML-N said that before few incidents that took place everyone was feeling that law and order in Karachi has been improved. He said that the recent incidents are the effort to sabotage the peace of the city of Karachi.
He said that up to the seventies we were a tolerant society. He said that what General Zia Ul Haq did in the name of Jihad in Afghanistan polarized our society.
ARIF ALVI OF PTI said that his relationship with the family of Amjad Sabri is very old and the whole country is in deep sorrow on his death. He said that we called the military in Karachi but did not polish up the police in the city. He said that the military action should continue against the terrorists but we did not do much as counter narrative. He said that it will take some time to change the mind set of the people but the stern action should continue against the terrorists and their recruitment.
GENERAL (R) GHULAM MUSTAFA POLITICAL ANALYST said that the political ownership Karachi operation needed is not given to it. He said that after 16th of December 2014 we could have done something to change the mind set but it was politicized. He said that the terrorists are arrested but released on bail we need to reform our judicial system. He said that we need to reform our educational system to fight against the terrorism. He said we need political will and reform our judicial system otherwise even military will be unable to resolve the problem of terrorism.
